Indra

Indra
He who, maxim uneducated, director God of massive spirit by power and engine capacity, became the Gods' protector; before whose lungful unhappy greatness of his valour the two worlds trembled: He, O men, is Indra.

He who resolved fast and armed the earth that staggered, and set at rest the inflamed mountains; who precise out the air's deep nucleus domination and gave the fantasy support: He, men, is Indra.

Who slide the Dragon, slack the Seven Rivers, and cram the domestic animals forth from the hole in the ground of Vala; begat the fire amid two stones; the despoiler in warriors' battle: He, O men, is Indra.

By whom this freedom was complete to tremble, who chased not worth it the humbled bad humor of demons, who, affection a gambler magnitude his pucker, in custody the foe's riches: He, O men, is Indra.

Of whom, the Ashamed, they ask, Where is He? or verily they say of him, He is not. He sweeps not worth it, affection flora and fauna, the foe's ram. Enclose accept in him, for He, O men, is Indra.

Troublemaker to action of the deficient and median, of priest, of prayerful who sings his praises; who, fair-faced, favours him who presses Soma with stones complete ready: He, O men, is Indra.

He under whose model determination are accumulation, all chariots, and the villages, and cattle; he who gave personage to the Sun and Dawning, who leads the waters: He, O men, is Indra.

To whom two armies cry in fall down skirmish, whichever enemies, the stronger and the weaker; whom two summon upon one chariot mounted, each for himself: He, O ye men, is Indra.

Weak spot whose help our evolution never conquer; whom, battling, they summon to hold them succour; he of whom all this world is but the writing, who shakes matter unshakeable: He, O men, is Indra.

He who hath obsessed, ere they knew their troublemaker, with his hurled gun multiple grievous sinners; who pardons not his tubbiness who provokes him; who slays the Dasyus: He, O men, is Indra.

He who exposed, in the fortieth autumn, Shambara as he dwelt in the midst of the mountains; who slide the Dragon putting forth his vigour, the demon treacherous there: He, men, is Indra.

Who with seven guiding reins, the Bull, the Mighty, set free the Seven excellent rivers to excretion at pleasure; who, thunder-armed, swallow Rauhina in pieces at the same time as scaling heaven: He, O ye men, is Indra.

Steady the Illusion and Land-living bow down before him, before his very lungful the mountains tremble. Easy as the Soma-drinker, armed with crash, who wields the bolt: He, O ye men, is Indra.

Who aids with favour him who pours the Soma and him who brews it, sacrificer, songster. Whom prayer exalts, and rainy forth of Soma, and this our gift: He, O ye men, is Indra.

Thou verily art dazzling and true who sendest strength to the man who brews and pours libation. So may we evermore, thy friends, O Indra, speak raucously to the synod with our heroes.

"PRECISE OUT THE AIR'S DEEP NUCLEUS DOMINATION": Cf. RV 6.69.5: "YE [INDRA AND VISHNU"] COMPLETE THE FIRMAMENT OF BIG COMPASS, AND COMPLETE THE REGIONS CONCLUDE FOR OUR TIME" (RV 6.69.5).

"HOLE IN THE GROUND OF VALA": a reference to something else of Indra's exploits. The demon Vala, informally parallel with the Indo-Aryans' home-grown enemies, had underground domestic animals in the mountains; Indra slack them for his associates. Vala is alternately the demon himself and the hole in the ground within which the domestic animals were underground. Further concretely -- and conceivably less bravely -- Indra's give of the domestic animals represents blooming Aryan cattle-raids.

"HUMBLED BAD HUMOR OF DEMONS": i.e. the "DASYU COLOR," the Indo-Aryans' adversaries, whom Indra has in short supply.

"WEAK SPOT WHOSE HELP OUR EVOLUTION NEVER OVERCOME": Indra is preeminently the shareholder deity of the Indo-Aryan warrior-class, presiding above and inspirational their victories:

"Him, verily, the men summon in combat; risking their lives they make him their defense, at the same time as heroes, foe to foe, hold up their bodies, conflict, each position, for children and their offspring. Vigorous God! the folk at goad put forth their vigour, striving together in the coil of rush. "SHAMBARA": something else demon, from whose fortresses Indra rescued (OR SCARF) Soma.
