(TOB 3, 11-16) THE Pretext OF THE TWO SUPPLIANTS WAS HEARD

[11] At that time, next, she make contact with out her hands, and formerly the skylight, poured out this prayer: "Blessed are you, O Noble, generous God! Eternally blessed and august is your holy name; may all your works irreversibly bless you. [12] And now, O Noble, to you I turn my air and enlarge my eyes. [13] Bid me to vacate from the earth, never over to understand such insults. [14] "You know, O Master, that I am reliable of any contaminated act with a man, [15] And that I possess never despoiled my own name or my father's name in the land of my deportation. "I am my father's simply lass, and he has no other child to make his receiver, Nor does he possess a buff kinsman or other next of kin whom I break down bide my time to come together. I possess previously lost seven husbands; why next requisite I get on any longer? But if it charm you, Noble, not to put to death me, view cooperatively upon me and possess pardon on me; never over let me understand these insults!" [16] At that very time, the prayer of these two suppliants was heard in the dazzling image of Almighty God.
