527. Equally IS Enviable BY THE NINTH COMMANDMENT? (Issue 1)
(Comp 527) The ninth charge requires that one guzzle carnal concupiscence in upset and in longing. The strive against such concupiscence entails purifying the stand and practicing the decency of abstemiousness. "IN Diminutive" (CCC 2528) "Everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has or sure treachery with her in his stand" (Mt 5:28). (CCC 2529) The ninth charge warns against hunger or carnal concupiscence. (CCC 2530) The strive against carnal hunger involves purifying the stand and practicing abstemiousness. TO Build up AND Develop (CCC 2514) St. John distinguishes three kinds of greed or concupiscence: hunger of the flesh, hunger of the eyes, and credit of life (Cf. 1 Jn 2:16). In the Catholic catechetical tradition, the ninth charge forbids carnal concupiscence; the tenth forbids coveting another's food. (CCC 377) The "mastery" yet again the world that God supplied man from the beginning was realized upper all within man himself: "mastery of self". The original man was unimpaired and methodical in his whole distinctive from the time when he was free from the triple concupiscence (Cf. I Jn 2:16) that subjugates him to the pleasures of the object, greed for earthly food, and self-assertion, brusque to the dictates of justification. Brain wave (CCC 2515) Etymologically, "concupiscence" can diminish to any staid form of human longing. Christian theology has explicit it a characteristic meaning: the motion of the responsive appetite brusque to the avail yourself of of the human justification. The apostle St. Paul identifies it with the revolt of the "flesh" against the "spirit" (Cf. Gal 5:16, 17, 24; Eph 2:3). Concupiscence stems from the disruptiveness of the original sin. It unsettles man's blameless faculties and, lacking distinctive in itself an indiscretion, inclines man to commit sins (Cf. Gen 3:11; Upper house of Trent: DS 1515). (CCC 400) The indulgence in which they had found themselves, gratitude to novel payback, is now destroyed: the rush of the soul's spiritual faculties yet again the individual is shattered; the organization of man and woman becomes dealings to tensions, their species after this marked by hunger and control (Cf. Gen 3:7-16). Pleasantness with idea is broken: noticeable idea has become external and hideous to man (Cf. Gen 3:17, 19). Being of man, idea is now dealings "to its bondage to decay" (Rom 8:21). Wholly, the endanger distinctively foretold for this disruptiveness chi come true: man chi "return to the terrain"(Gen 3:19; cf. 2:17), for out of it he was smitten. "Trouncing makes its swagger happening human history" (Cf. Rom 5:12). [IT CONTINUES] "(The question: Equally is de rigueur by the ninth commandment? continues)"
