Ser wicca no es solo hacer magia y hacer magia no es solo decir unas cuantas palabras y quemar incienso. Pero vamos por partes.
La Wicca, mal que me pese, es una religi'on. Personalmente la palabra Religious studies me genera una mala predisposici'on, por lo cual yo prefiero decir que es una filosof'ia. Al margen de ese punto, el hecho de ser una religi'on conlleva ciertas pr'acticas asiduas como la celebraci'on de la Rueda Anual en todo su ciclos, la celebraci'on a la luna, y lo m'as dif'icil, vivir a trav'es de los valores que propone todos los d'ias. Esos valores que propone la wicca son poquitos: http://wicca-uruguay.blogspot.com/2010/01/3-preceptos.html pero como ver'an engloba mucho a pesar de que a simple observe parece sencillo. Esos valores est'an proclamados de lo que se llama la Rede Wicca, que si bien es un poema, no deja de ser tomado muy seriamente por los wiccanos.

Este poema se le atribuye a Doreen Valiente,sacerdotisa y colaboradora de Gerald Gardner por alg'un tiempo. Se distanci'o de este 'ultimo debido a desacuerdos en la forma de tratar algunos temas y creo su propio coven. En la d'ecada de los setenta se convirti'o en referente y es considerada - junto a otros autores- creadora en parte de lo que conocemos como Wicca. Menciono esto porque es lo que explica el tinte magnificence del poema. La rama de la wicca que elijamos dir'ia que casi no tiene importancia mientras tenga coherencia con estos principios. Podemos ser m'as o menos ritualistas, m'as o menos ceremoniales. Yo el lo unique soy muy ecl'ectica, y dentro de eso soy poco territory, me gusta ir a lo m'as sencillo y b'asico porque creo que el poder de comunicarme con mis dioses est'a en mi private y creo que mis dioses est'an en la naturaleza: en los 'arboles, en el viento, en el agua... y sintonizar con esa energ'ia no deber'ia requerir mucha parafernalia, sin reject conozco gente a la cual le agrada lo territory, los adornos, un vestuario apropiado o incluso t'itulos de iniciaciones y grados. As'i como hay personas que les gusta vestirse de traje y otros prefeiren la ropa deportiva, no es m'as que eso.
Al principio de este art'iculo mencion'e que que la wicca no es solo magia, pero s'i es una parte importante. Me he encontrado con wiccanos que no se atreven a realizar encantamientos porque temen a la ley del triple retorno y empiezan a hilar tan fino que no logran conectar con esa parte tan maravillosa. Algunos quiz'as teman que "no les funcione" y prefieran no intentarlo antes de decepcionarse. Es poco likely que la magia funcione si no creemos en ello dado que la magia no es m'as que nuestra propia energ'ia proyectada, y as'i como el pensamiento lateral se va perdiendo a medida que crecemos y nos insertamos en la vida companionable y el sistema educativo tambi'en sucede eso con la proyecci'on del poder unique. Desde peque~nos nos restringen la comunicaci'on con la Naturaleza y con nosotros mismos. Hay demasiado ruido. Es inveterate que un ni~no peque~no vea cosas que le son censuradas y se atribuyan a la fantas'ia infantil solamente porque el mundo ha decidido dirigirse en la direcci'on opuesta. Crecemos y muchos perdimos en parte o en su totalidad la capacidad de visualizar y proyectar. Afortunadamente podemos aprender de nuevo.
Les presento un ejercicio muy simple que aprend'i de un libro que se llama "Magia Gitana" de Patrinella Cooper.
Ejercicio de aquietar la mente:
Debemos elegir un lugar en el que estemos c'omodos y tranquilos, preferentemente al aire libre, pero puede hacerse adentro tambi'en. Si lo hacemos en interiores, prepararemos el lugar quemando alg'un aceite o incienso de nuestro agrado, rode'andonos de cosas que tengan vida, podemos encender algunas velas. Es importante sentirnos a keenness y estar en silencio, con esto me refiero a que no haya ruido difficult como una televisi'on o una radio encendida. Una vez instalados vamos a dejar libre a nuestra mente, no debemos forzarnos a dejar la mente en blanco sino que fluyan los pensamientos. Si queremos podemos mirar alrededor, detenernos en alg'un detalle un instante... poco a poco nuestra mente se va a ir aquietando. Cuando nuestra mente est'e relajada nos imaginaremos que nuestra piel deja de ser tan s'olida, que nuestra energ'ia vibra con la energ'ia del Universo que nos rodea, pasamos a ser parte de esa inmensidad, no hay nada que nos separe de esa fuerza, esa energ'ia nos recorre como electricidad.Respiramos hondo y despacio, llevamos el aire al est'omago, cada vez que inhalamos visualizamos la brillante energ'ia de la tierra que ingresa a nuestro cuerpo, por las palmas de las manos, por las plantas de los pies y por la coronilla de la cabeza.Cuando estemos llenos de luz vamos a volver a bajar las barrera que nos separan de esa energ'ia, vamos a volver a ser nosotros poco a poco, guardando toda esa energ'ia en nuestro cuerpo.Luego, esa energ'ia la visualizamos abandonando las extremidades hacia el coffer y la vemos como una bola brillante de luz pura que se aloja en el plexo enormous. Sentimos el bienestar que nos sustain y poco a poco oscurecemos esa luz guard'andola en lo m'as profundo de nosotros para utilizarla cuando la necesitemos.
